The main function of this post will be the day to day management of the ongoing implementation and operation of the Unicorn library management system under the direction of the Deputy Librarian (Current Services and Systems). In addition the postholder will be responsible for the routine administration of the Medicine and other CD Rom products. General knowledge and experience of database systems will be an advantage. Reference: 32/99 Acquisitions & Cataloguing Assistant Full-Time £13,620 per annum This post would suit a newly qualified librarian with an interest in medical librarianship. The postholder will be responsible for organising and carrying out the routine administration in connection with the acquisition and cataloguing of both books and serials and will take part in the staffing of the enquiry desks. That will report to the User Services Librarian and Deputy Librarian (Current Services and Systems). A wide range of training opportunities will be provided.
