Northumberland Health Authority Regional IM&T Librarian Salary c. L26k The Regional Library Advisory Service (Northern & Yorkshire) plays a key role in ensuring equity of access for all health care staff to NHS library and information services. It also supports NHS Trusts and Health Authorities in developing local strategies which encourage co- operation and value for money through partnerships, contracts and service level agreements. An experienced librarian with advanced information management and technology (IM&T) skills is required to fill this new post. The postholder will advise on all library aspects of IM&T, including software, databases, networking, and NHSnet/Internet connections across the Region. They will also have geographical responsibilities for the North Cumbria, Northumberland, North Tyneside, and Sunderland area, particularly monitoring and advising on the library services funded by the Postgraduate Dean (Northern). Applicants should have experience in the NHS, preferably in a healthcare library, and be either a Chartered Librarian, a Member of the Institute of Information Scientists, or have degree-level IT qualifications.
