Although not specifically mentioned in the Notes for Guidance, it may be
possible to claim travel costs to Access centres from the DSA special
equipment allowance as part of the assessment costs.

Subject:	Cost of travel to DSAs assessment

Dear All
Can a student claim the cost of travel to an Access Centre
for a support needs assesssment from the DSAs?
If not do members of the list feel that they ought to be
able to considering that the centres are often some
distance away from where the student is based?
Also, could someone point me in the direction of the
relevant DfEE regulation?
