This seems to be an appropriate venue to bring to everyone's attention a
postdoctoral fellowship that is currently beeing advertised (copied from the

Institute of Commonwealth Studies, University of London
Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Caribbean/Caribbean Diaspora Studies
Available for a fixed term of one year in the first instance from 1 September
1999.

The Research Fellow's main task will be to develop, secure funding for, and
implement a research proposal or proposals in the field of studies of the
Caribbean and the Caribbean Diaspora. Applicants must have a PhD in a relevant
discipline and will preferably have some research experience, a publications
record and proven IT and administrative skills.

Staring salary will be at point 6 of Research Grade 1A, currently ?17,570 plus
London Allowance of ?2,134.
