Barclays Bank wishes to recruit an Archivist to join a small team based in Wythenshawe, Manchester, headed by the Senior Archivist. The Archives Unit is part of Barclays Records Services which comprises a records management project unit, three records centres and the archives unit. The Achivist will take full part in: - providing an information and research service, both internally and externally. - arranging and describing archives using a software package - appraising material for inclusion in the Archives _ liaising with colleagues in other parts of the department to provide a comprehensive records service. The successful candidate will have a degree and recognised professional qualification with at least two years relevant experience. The postholder must be an enthusiastic team member and have good communication skills. A current driving licence and computer literacy would be an advantage. Salary £17,000 to £20,000. After a qualifying period the successful candidate will be eligible for profit sharing and performance management bonus.
