Further to a discussion at a seminar held at the 
University recently I am interested in the 
emergence of "Compliance Officer" as a role 
within organisations (in any sector). If they do 
exist your organisation I would also like to know 
where they are placed in the management 
structure. 

In particular I am curious whether the "Internal 
Audit" function has been superseeded and a more 
wide ranging office has evolved drawing together 
various strands of FDA, GLP etc. compliance 
requirements (not forgetting the ubiquitous Data 
Protection requirements).
