STATISTICIAN A junior statistician is required for a joint post in the Biostatistics and Computing Department of the Institute of Psychiatry, and the Royal College of Psychiatrists Research Unit. The person appointed would have particular responsibility for giving statistical advice to post-graduate students at the Institute, and at the College would give such advice to a number of researchers and would be actively involved in analysing research data. Applicants should have a strong statistical education and experience of one of the major statistical software packages. Applications from newly qualified MSc students whose course contains a substantial statistical component would be particularly welcome, but consideration will also be given to applicants with only a first degree in mathematics or a related subject.
