However the analysis usually focuses on a single (possibly composite) endpoint so that standard methods of univariate survival data are used. The limitations of this approach will be highlighted and methods for the analysis of multivariate failure time data reviewed. These fall into three broad classes - marginal, conditional and frailty models.
