JOB: MEDICAL STATISTICIAN A vacancy will shortly arise for a Medical Statistician in the DIvision of Stroke Medicine at the University of Nottingham. A well-qualified medical statistician is sought, with interests in clinical trials and systematic reviews. The workload is varied, ranging from design and analysis of randomised controlled trials, to conducting systematic reviews, using both grouped data and individual patient data meta-analysis techniques. The medical statistician will also provide advice and statistical support to other researchers in the department. There will be the opportunity to register for a PhD. The Division of Stroke Medicine has research interests in the area of primary and secondary prevention of stroke, of treatment of stroke patients in the acute phase of stroke, and in rehabilitation of stroke patients. The Division's researchers include stroke physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and psychologists.
