TCS programme at MultiArc UK Ltd Graduate Vacancy An exciting opportunity exists for a young statistician to learn how to apply theory to practice in industry. A high level of supervision, training and support will be given both by a professional statistician from the Centre for Quality Engineering and by an industrial supervisor at the Company. MultiArc UK is situated in Consett, Co Durham. The Company uses advanced processes to deposit very thin, hard-wearing coatings on to the surface of cutting tools, engineer parts, etc. to reduce replacement and maintenance costs. The two-year project aims to support the Company's commitment to developing and introducing 'best practice' standards and specifications for its processes and products throughout its world-wide operation. Continued employment within the organisation is a strong possibility. Applicants must have a good first (2.i or higher) or second degree and a willingness to communicate and work with people at all levels of technical ability. The industrial-level salary will be appropriate to qualifications and experience. Use of project material for an M.Phil thesis may be possible.
