D. Anderson Cancer Center. We are initiating a number of exciting ventures in a variety of areas of cancer and biostatistics research. These include but are not restricted to: cancer screening and prevention, survival analysis, resampling methods such as the bootstrap, mixed models, Markov Chain Monte Carlo methods, clustered family data analysis, genetics and genomics, and adaptive designs of clinical trials. These positions offer excellent opportunities for professional growth in a stimulating research environment. The close association between the clinical and biostatistical parts of M. D. Anderson informs the methodology developed and gives it immediate application. These positions would entail working collaboratively with Drs. Kim-Anh Do, Yu Shen, and Donald Berry. Requirements: Ph.D in statistics, biostatistics or related fields with genuine interest in conducting statistical methodological research. Proficiency in Splus or Matlab, Fortran or C, with knowledge of UNIX operating systems and Windows are required. Strong quantitative skills and theoretical background are pluses.
