Fiona Here at Liverpool Hope University College we will be holding three ceremonies this year with approximately 450 graduands per ceremony. Final year students are sent a pack with: 1. A form to fill in to indicate if they wish to attend. They also indicate on this form any disability requirements. 2. A form to fill in for catering and champagne & strawberries. 3. A glossy "Guidance for Graduands and their Guests" There are no charges for graduands or guests for the ceremony or the programme. There are charges for catering for both graduands and guests. Shortly before the ceremony a seating plan is drawn up and graduands are sent a ticket with their seat number on. The guest tickets are sent at the same time but without seat numbers. On the day ushers then check that everyone is in their seat. Absentees are removed from the main list so that their names are not read out. Further checks are made when the graduands leave their seat and when they arrive near the stage. Graduands are presented with their Certificate as they leave the stage. Absentee certificates are removed just prior to the start of the ceremony. We go to great lengths to make this day very special for our graduands and their guests. Programme of events: 9am onwards Robing commences, morning coffee 10.30am Hall Services in S.Katharine's and Christ's & Notre Dame Chapels 11.00am Group photograph and opportunity for private photographs 11.45am Sherry reception 12.15pm 3 course lunch in the marquee on Hope Park Green 1.30pm Depart for the graduation ceremony 5.00pm Strawberries and Champagne at Hope on the Waterfront (Albert Dock) Colleagues here would also be interested in visiting other institutions ceremonies and would welcome visits from other institutions.
