One of our Engineering departments is considering introducing an attendance register to monitor undergraduate students' attendance at lectures. The department is interested to know whether any other institutions (and particularly, Engineering departments) have instigated anything similar and have any positive or negative feedback to share. Is the register taken by the lecturer or by circulating it amongst the students?
