Dear colleagues I'd be grateful to receive any advice/information which others might have on the implications of the Freedom of Information Act in respect of the with-holding of results/degree certificates etc from students who owe institutions fees or other monies. I have been informed that the established practice of with-holding certs/results until such time as a student pays the sums due may not now be legal in the light of the FiA.
