I would be interested to know of any software packages which other institutions have found suitable for hall place allocation. We need something to replace an in-house system which is coming to the end of its useful life. It needs to offer facilities for recording the sort of detail which it is inappropriate to record in the core student information system, eg smoking/non-smoking rooms, etc, and which would need to interface at the start and end of the allocation process with the student system. I have a vague recollection of a similar question having been asked over admin-student a few months ago - if this is the case, I apologise for the repetition.
