Last call for the Annual EOHE Network Conference - please note that bookings for this Conference should be received by 8th June, 1999. This year's 'Supporting Inclusion' Conference has been scheduled for the 16th & 17th June and is to be held at the University of Sheffield, Tapton Hall of Residence. The opening keynote speaker will be Elizabeth Hodder of the EOC. A second keynote speech later in the day will be given by Dr Charlotte MacKenzie Assistant Director of QAA. This will be on 'QAA and Equal Opportunities'. In addition there will be a variety of workshops focusing on support issues for students. A presentation on enabling technologies for students with disabilities will end the first days's proceedings. The conference dinner will be followed by a performance by Black Butterflies a poetry/musical group. The second day will open with a keynote speech on 'From Elitism to Inclusion' . Workshops on the second day focus on widening access and include a presentation by DARAS relating to the DDA. Accommodation is in en-suite rooms at Tapton Hall of Residence. Tapton had been awarded the English Tourist Board's National Accessible Scheme Category 1 and is sited next to the University's Botanical Gardens. Fee for the Conference to include en-suite accommodation, meals and refreshments is stlg180 for members and stlg195 for non-members.
