I knew I had this reference somewhere:

Greene R. Hemingway's sweating waiter. Lancet. 2(7562):283, 1968 Aug 3.
Coloured sweat due to chromogenic micro-organisms.

I think Lorca mentions it somewhere too. Did Hemingway ever meet Lorca??
