HULL AND EAST YORKSHIRE HOSPITALS NHS TRUST HULL ROYAL INFIRMARY DEPARTMENT OF CLINICAL BIOCHEMISTRY CONSULTANT CLINICAL BIOCHEMIST GRADE C Applications are invited to join the existing team of senior staff in one of the largest laboratories in the country (population served 565,000). The postholder will take the lead within Biochemistry for the critical care/routine automated biochemistry areas and the HPLC section of the department and have shared involvement in the toxicology, protein, antenatal/neonatal screening, trace element and endocrinology/diabetes sections. A major additional role is as a lead in the initiation and direction of research and development within the department and as a primary contact for research in conjunction with the University of Hull. The postholder will also share management responsibilities with current senior staff. Candidates should be in possession of recognised professional qualification (MCB or MRCPath).
