I recall reports of an unusual lipoprotein being
produced in some hepatic disorders. It has been called LPX
(lipoprotein X).
I think it is a form of HDL that stacks like rouleaux and migrates
backward on lipoprotein electrophoresis. There is mention of this in a
large text called LIVER pathobiology and physiology by Raven Press....but
I am not in my office right nowand I can not provide the original
references. If this sounds promising please let me know and I will
forward more information. regards, Andrew
