The post is open to applicants with an interest in any laboratory medicine discipline, with preference towards Chemical Pathology and/or Medical Informatics. The post offers the opportunity to develop teaching skills, a successful research programme and an area of clinical specialisation. It is available currently for three years in the first instance, with possible renewal for a further three years. The successful candidate will divide their time between active research and the teaching of Clinical Biochemistry under the Department of Biochemistry (Head of Department: Dr Jonathan Kay). Clinical work can be tailored to the training requirements of the candidate. Prior research experience (e.g. PhD) and teaching of clinical students would be an advantage. The salary will be in the range #163#23,300 - #163#37,230 depending on age and experience.
