Announcing an International Conference on the ICARO Project -
Increasing CAR Occupancy through innovative measures and technical
instruments.

ICARO is an EU Fourth Framework Research Project covering Task 5.2/17
of the Urban Transport Research Programme of the European Commission,
Directorate General, DG VII, Brussels.

The  registration fee includes lunch, refreshments,  conference
papers   and  a  copy  of  the  ICARO  Manual,  which  contains
information  on  measures  and  instruments  to  increase   car
occupancy based on the experience of the ICARO project. A  free
morning  peak bus tour of the Leeds HOV Lane will be  available
on  Tuesday  23 March for those delegates who wish to  see  the
lane  in  operation. (Please indicate below if required.)  Free
parking  vouchers for the Armouries car park are  available  on
request  to conference delegates arriving by car. All delegates
are  also  entitled to a stlg5 discount voucher for the  Armouries
Museum. Entry price is stlg2.95 on production of a voucher  rather
than stlg7.95.

Hotel  accommodation is not included, but can  be  arranged  by

5242.  Please state where the conference is taking  place  when
making your booking. Special conference rates are available  at
the  Queens Hotel (Tel: 0113 243 1323) and the Hilton  National
Hotel  (Tel:  0113  244  2000).  Please  contact  these  hotels
directly  quoting "Royal Armouries" when making  your  booking.
(n.b. Both hotels are next to the central railway station.)

All  fees  are payable in advance of the conference.  Delegates
may  be  refused admission if payment is not received prior  to
the  event. All the fees quoted are inclusive of VAT and a  VAT
receipt  will  be  issued  on payment.  Please  note  that  all
payments  are  non-refundable  but  alternative  delegates  are
welcome.
