FUTURE AVAILABILITY OF INDEX ISLAMICUS DATA: SURVEY With the 1999 no.3 advance issue of Index Islamicus, just published, a brief questionnaire has been distributed, which can be faxed back to the publishers. More conveniently for many people, including users who are not direct subscribers, it can also be completed and submitted on the Web at http://www.bowker-saur.co.uk/contact/IIsurvey.htm Responses to this will be important in determining:- 1. Whether and when Index Islamicus is made available online via the Web 2. Whether and when gaps in past coverage will be filled, particularly for the years 1986-92 (when no comprehensive volumes were published). Decisions on these matters need to be taken in the very near future (we hope before the end of 1999). We therefore urge all users of Index Islamicus, and librarians whose readers use it, to complete and submit the form as soon as possible. It has a space for "other comments" also.
