Library and Information Officer
Salary Scale - Administrative/Library/Computer Grade 1/2 stlg15,735 -
stlg23,651 (pay award pending) 3 Year Rolling Contract

This large multi-disciplinary research centre supports the development
of primary care research through its R&D programme.  Based at the
University of Manchester, it is linked to collaborative sites at the
Universities of Salford and York.

We wish to appoint an individual with the appropriate personal
qualities and professional skills to maintain and develop the library
and information services.   Duties will include the identification of
user information needs, developing and undertaking electronic
literature searches, the acquisition and internal dissemination of
material and the delivery of training and education on the use of
library information systems.

The successful applicant with require a degree or post-graduate
qualification in librarianship or information science, at least two
years relevant professional experience and expertise in using
electronic information systems.

The appointment will be on a three year rolling contract.  For further
