Don't tell my Head of Department but it is extremely likely that we
will have a lectureship vacancy here from January 2000. While clearly
the main need is for someone who can teach computer science (or
computing...) I was wondering whether to make a play for someone
involved in computer music or audio. So, the reason for this message
is to see if there are enough people who would be interested for me to
open up teh attempt.
I write this in the memory that when I tried this last time I got
slapped down by the then Head of School, but things could be different
this time.

Actually I would also be interested in the general employment position
for computer music types; are their academic jobs? Are you in the day
job/real job business?
