Thanks to everyone who replied to my query. I will pass the information on to our database manager, who can decidwe whether or not we should actually buy the thing. At the moment, that seems the only reasonable option if we want ot coompare it to our existing thesaurus (INSPEC). Another thought, has anyone had experience of using two different thesauri/two adaptations of the same thesaurus for different user groups? If the IEE add their data to the A2A project, we will have to adapt or reduce our technical, engineering-oriented subject terms to (I presume) more general terms. Can this work?
