Note also that although Cistercians start from the Rule of St Benedict
(indeed they were invented on the grounds that the rest of us were not doing
that), they are not part of the Benedictine Confederation, which is the
umbrella organisation dating from about 1880/90 under a Primate (not a
General) in Rome: this includes all *black* Benedictines (there are a few
exceptions) ie OSB, but not the *white* ones, ie OCist. So there is no
reason why they should take any notice of the Thesaurus if they do not want
to.

On the other hand, liturgical ideas are far from copyright....
