Dear Colleague, Some news about the Health Technology Assessment (HTA) programme. Details can be found on the HTA website: (http://www.soton.ac.uk.~hta) (1) ‘Call for Proposals’ page HTA issued a Call for Proposals for 40 priorities in primary, secondary and methodological research on the 8th December 1998. Details are on the HTA web site, including a downloadable electronic outline proposal form. (2) ‘Publications’ Page. New monograph Since the last email to you HTA have published monograph Volume 2, number 17: ‘The costs and benefits of paramedic skills in pre-hospital trauma care‘ (Nicholl) You can view an executive summary or order a printed copy (UK public sector employees only) or download an electronic version of the full monograph in Adobe Acrobat format. See the Publications Page on the HTA web site for further information. (3) ‘Correspondence’ Page This new page means you can now give feedback on all HTA monographs, and the HTA programme in general, and your comments will appear on the HTA web site.
