Hedi,

I think I kept a hard copy somewhere if no-one else can find it
electronically.
What does the Austrian "accreditation" process involve? Is this the same
as legislated registration to practice?

The Australian Physiotherapy Association used the Pennsylvania case here in
Victoria, Australia, to argue (successfully) during a recent review of
legislation governing the registration of physiotherapists in this state,
that the titles "Physiotherapist" and "Physical Therapist" should both be
restricted to use only by physiotherapists. We also found the WCPT
statement on the use of the term "physical therapist" useful in our
lobbying. This doesn't mean that other practitioners are prohibited from
saying they DO "physical therapy", but they cannot call themselves physical
therapists, or "induce a belief" that they are registered under the
Physiotherapists' Act.
