Ken I do not dispute your assertion that vinyl is popular but amusingly enough its popular with club DJ's playing incredibly digital music. Simulation permiates the music industry, in effects such as reverb, echo, etc and this is independent of the medium its distributed on. Vinyl just happens to be a good user interface, the CD is not.
