The 3 formost publications on the social model that I use for my level 3 'disability studies' module are: Oliver, M. (1990) The Politics of Disablement Finkelstein, V. (1980) Attitudes and Disabled People Union of Physically Impaired Against Segregation (1976) Fundamental Principles of Disability I find that these provide the clearest and most insightful statements of the social model, even though they are becoming a bit 'dated' as publications.
