I have been following the discussion whether an audio file can be slowed down to enable easy transcribing.

Here is the solution: The name of the software is 'Musican's CD Player and can be downloaded at:

This program variable speed of audio files (wav) or CD tracks without changing the pitch that means you still recognise the voice of the speaker.

The software is shareware and works fine. I have checked ist out with an interview.
