I wish to remind all Bailer members of the Annual General Meeting to be held in Liverpool on Wednesday October 28th. As well as the business of the Bailer committee there will be discussions on the future of delivering courses to non-traditional groups of students, supported by speakers from the Open Learning Unit in Aberystwyth and the University of Bristol. Those attending will also be able to avail of a tour of the state-of -the-art Aldham Robarts Learning Resource Centre of Liverpool John Moores University. Details of the AGM follow. We would be grateful if anyone attending could inform us as e need to know numbers for catering. Please include a postal address if you require a map. As well as the formal business there will be a joint presentation by Mike Heery and Cathryn Gallacher on the MSc course in Information and Library Management at the University of Bristol and the second talk is given by Clare Thomas, the Director of the Open Learning Unit at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. The afternoon sessions will provide time for members to contribute to focus group discussions. There is an optional tour of the Learning Resource Centre at lunch time.
