Earth Resources Limited (ERL) an independent geological consultancy based
in Swansea and specialising in the provision of geological field work
services to the oil industry, requires a structural geologist to
participate in field programmes in the Middle East this winter. The
candidate will have completed a Ph.D. in structural geology and shall
possess good communication skills. He or she will be capable of
demonstrating an ability to construct accurate geological maps and
balanced cross-sections from surface data, to analyse the kinematic
significance of folds, faults and joint arrays and develop tectonic
models on the basis of data recorded.
The work will involve overseas field work followed by a period of report
preparation based in ERL's offices in Swansea. The likely duration of
the employment will be six months commencing early to mid November.
