In response to Tony Roberts problem, here is a solution! * This 2 year pilot project is to set up to twelve Local Multidisciplinary Evidence Centres (LMECs) across Salford and Trafford and is a direct result of a recent Regional library and information review. The first year (April 1998-March 1999) will be the setting up phase. The second year will be to test out whether the access to evidence-based information has been improved and is working effectively. * The Project is being carried out through joint work between Salford & Trafford Health Authority, Trafford Healthcare NHS Trust and Salford Royal Hospitals NHS Trust. * The LMEC pilot will provide Primary Health Care Team members (PHCTs) and community staff with improved access to a wide range of information and evidence based sources and electronic links to the three libraries.
