Keith, I personally do not know of, or have heard of, any research into tap water for wound cleansing. May I suggest that the person concerned gets in touch with the Clinical Nurse Specialist for Tissue Viability. They are usually the best people to speak to regarding wound management and should hopefully be able to steer your staff member in the right direction. I hope this has been of some help.
