I'll make the first comment myself (I spotted this after 
we closed discussion on the working group list - sorry).  

Proposal:

I suggest that the phrase "in two dimensions" be deleted 
from the definition of "image".  

Rationale:

There are many "3D" images becoming available in digital 
media.  In the case where these are "static" - ie they 
cannot be modified by a client except for the viewpoint - 
they are effectively still genre "image".  

Discussion:

There are obvious overlaps with 

Type="data" - for cases where the "image" is generated 
	from "data", but if the object is served to the 
	client in some visual rendition then "image" is OK

Type="interactive" - for virtual worlds, but not 
	really if the _object_ rather than the viewpoint 
	cannot really be changed, and in the case of 
	static vrml scenes, it could be argued that they 
	are purely descriptive and the "interactivity" is 
	provided by the client

Type="physical object" - for non-electronic 3D things  - 
	here I think that the digital/non-digital distinction 
	is sufficient.
