Hi World - I am forwarding details of the VIIIth International Seminar of Rheumatic Diseases. Please get in touch with Dr.I.Machtey (Chairman of the Seminar) at [log in to unmask] or contact the Secretariat [log in to unmask] Heather ================================================ The Eighth International Seminar on the Treatment of Rheumatic Diseases will be held here on Dec.6-12,1998 under the Patronage of the European League Against Rheumatism (EULAR) and in conjunction with the Jubilee of 50 years of the Independence of Israel. We expect many interesting scientific and social events to take place at that year, during our Seminar. The main sessions will be held in Tel Aviv and concluded in the peaceful town of Tiberias, at the Sea of Galilee (excursions to Jerusalem etc. and a possible post-Seminar workshop at the Dead Sea are planned). As this was the case at our previous Seminars, patients may benefit from both, exchanging of views and experience as well as from a therapeutical trial in the special spa-areas in Tiberias and at the Dead Sea. Such special treatment can be arranged and interested persons may contact the Secretariat: (Phone +972-3-6355038, fax +972-3-5351103, e-mail: [log in to unmask]) May I point out that the suggested program is planned to cover the problems of rheumatic diseases and of the rheumatic patient (adults and children) in the widest meaning of this word, i.e. including Immunology, orthopedic surgery, physical and rehabilitative medicine, special topics in complementary medicine, legal aspects in rheumatology etc. Special sessions aimed esecially could be arranged, provided that an adequate number of registrants will be interested in it. This was the case in our prevous Seminars and we can arrange it also now. Such speciall session(s) could be connected with a balneotherapeutic program at the spa of Tiberias and/or of the Dead Sea. Such arrangements have to finalized with the Secretariat (which is also our congress- and travel agency). I hope to greet here many professionals and patients and I am convinced, that you and your membership will find interest to contribute to the program from their experience.
