My usual suggestion is H. Walther, Proverbia sententiaeque, if the quote achieved the status of a proverb. Some of Chrysostom (on Matthew) was translated in the 12th century by Burgindio of Pisa, and some of the material was quoted by Aquinas, esp. in Catena aurea. The Index Thomiticus might be worth a try. tom izbicki %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
