Does anyone know why Vatican 2 changed the date of the Feast of the Salutation? The Anglican church followed suit but the Church in Wales did not. The Orthodox of course have another date again. When we were fixing a date for our first pilgrimage to the shrine of the Virgin at Penrhys, the feast of the Salutation seemed the most appropriate day, until we discovered that we celebrated it on 3 different days.
