Though this is not my first appearance here can I properly introduce
myself and also advise list members of two publications which may be of
interest.
I am a specialist in the Renaissance romance epic, in particular in the
period before Ariosto, and have also worked on the bibliography of early
printing in Italy. But like all rinascimentalisti my interests
inevitably range much more widely and have even included Mozart and
Umberto Eco.

Specialists in the romance epic and early printing may be interested in
the following item:

J.E.Everson, Bibliografia del Mambriano, Edizioni dell'Orso,
Alessandria, 1994 (1995) 368pp, plus 63 pp of plates. Contents include:
an introductory essay on Francesco Cieco, Il Mambriano and its critical
fortunes; individual chapters on the 13 sixteenth century editions; a
survey of editions of the novelle and in the modern period; and a
repertoire of woodcut illustrations from the early editions. Full index
and bibliography. Copies, including for review, from Edizioni dell'Orso,
Via Piacenza 66, 15100 Alessandria, Italy. Price: ITL 80,000
