I searched the internet for "wool and winemaking" or "felt and winemaking" but
came up dry, except for this one item, which I pass on to the list in the spirit
of self-interested public service, in case anyone happens to be planning a
medievalists' dinner to which I might be invited:

FR Vouvray 1993 Domaine Bourillon-Dorleans ($10) 74 pts.
"We are great fans of Vouvray, but this bottle didn't even get close to making
the cut. The nose was dominated by foxy aromas of wet wool or wet dog."
