Dear list members, I would like to draw your attention to Semicerchio (Comparative Poetry Journal), that is regularly published in Florence. A large section of the magazine is dedicated to contemporary Italian poetry, but the other sections (relying on a large number of contributors) cover Classical, Medieval, Spanish, Portoguese, French, English, German, American, African, Arab and Chinese literature. I am a member of the managing editorial board, and it is our present intention to broaden the diffusion and the availability of the magazine on a larger scale. The next number (XVIII) will be published in a few weeks. One month ago President Oscar Luigi Scalfaro awarded us with a special prize for the work we have been doing so far.
