The Technical Advisory Service for Images is pleased to present the forthcoming Workshop: ************************************************************* Managing a Digital Imaging Project 11th November 1998 Netskills, University of Newcastle Newcastle ************************************************************* This 1 day workshop is recommended for anyone who wishes to learn about project management within the context of a digital imaging project. It is also recommended for those who are currently working on a digital imaging project. Guidance will be given on the following issues: - What is Project Management? - Why is Project Management important? - Project Management techniques - feasibility and risk assessments - Developing work structures - preparing time estimates, milestones, use of Gantt and PERT charts - Techniques for monitoring progress - Project completion The workshop will be comprised of presentations and break-out groups. There will also be a chance for questions and discussions. This workshop will be of particular interest to members of the academic community who have an interest in creating and delivering digital image archives.
