My favourite so far is South Hooe Mine, at Bere Ferrers, south of Tavistock in Devon - excellent food, and capable of dealing with vegetarians - accomodation is in the old manager's house with the pumping engine house within yards of the door -and to be woken by the birds on the Tamar at low tide is magical.
