OMNI seminar:   Wednesday, 18th November
		St. Thomas's Hospital, London

For those people who have registered for the OMNI annual seminar next
wednesday, or who are still thinking of coming, some information is
provided thus:

- Spaces: there are indeed still spaces; we have a huge hall, and you can
book at any time right up to the seminar day on the 18th of November.
Simply go to the OMNI seminar '98 web page, download the booking form,
fill it in and fax it off. Note the costs, which range from 170 pounds
right down to 35 pounds, depending on whether you are a student/LA member.

	==================================================================
	Basically - you can still book a place for the OMNI annual seminar
	==================================================================

See the OMNI seminar page for full details of the programme, and how to
book, at:
		http://omni.ac.uk/seminars/seminar98/

- Have you booked and heard nowt?: if you have heard nothing since
booking, then email the MEDNET team, who are handing registrations, at:
[log in to unmask] Turn up for the seminar anyway (if you have booked,
then you are in!) whether you have had instructions or not - just remember
to print off this email so you know where to go to.

- Location: St. Thomas's hospital, Central London. Basically, get off at
Westminster tube station, walk across the bridge, and St. Thomas's is the
huge building on the right. You register for MEDNET in the postgraduate
centre: the large block between the road and the hospital. The OMNI annual
seminar itself is in the Governors Hall inside St. Thomas's.

- Speakers and the like: We have a packed programme of 9 speakers - these
include prominent people from UKOLN, the British Library and Health on the
Net (Geneva), amongst many others. It is very unlikely that such a
collection of speakers will appear in the same session in the UK again;
noting the bargain cost of the day, this is a wonderful opportunity to
hear knowledgeable speakers give a variety of perspectives on electronic
library developments within the UK (and wider) medical scene.

- Workshops: There are a variety of workshops being run by MEDNET - OMNI
are involved in two workshops for delegates, namely "Searching the
Internet" and "Internet MEDLINE". There are places still available on
these workshops, which are about 40 pounds each for a half-day. See the
workshop page at:
