Candidates should hold a primary degree, and a recognised qualification in library and information studies. Relevant experience in a library/information service, good communication skills, and experience in the application of information technology to information retrieval and delivery, including CD ROM and the Internet, are essential. Responsibilities of the Librarian, SEHB headquarters, Kilkenny, will include the region-wide implementation of the SEHB's new computerised library system, Unicorn, and maintenance of library services at the Board headquarters. The Librarian, Waterford Regional Hospital, will be responsible for day-to-day operations in the Board's principal clinical library and will play a key role in the development of the service to all potential users. Both posts will be under the direction of the Regional Library Services Manager Salary: £19,495- £23,268.
