Aston University Library & Information Services Information Specialists, Life & Health Sciences and Business & Management Two exciting opportunities have arisen for Information Specialists to join teams in the Library & Information Services with responsibility for the provision of information services to the School of Life & Health Sciences and Aston Business School. You will take a proactive approach in working with academic staff to support teaching, learning, and research activities, through the provision of information skills programmes, the promotion of electronic information services and alerting services, participation in public enquiry services, and collection management and development. You will have well-developed IT skills, be keen to develop your teaching and presentation skills, and have an understanding of the issues arising from the integration of IT and information services. Personal qualities should include flexibility, adaptability, the ability to work as part of a team, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A good honours degree and postgraduate qualification in librarianship or information science is required. A subject qualification in the area covered by the post is desirable.
