With apologies for cross-posting EARL NEW LIBRARY CONTENT WORKSHOPS EARL, the Consortium for Public Library Networking is pleased to announce the first in its series of New Library content workshops. The nature of content for new library is still under discussion and it is EARL's intention to offer a series of workshops which address these issues over the next few months, particularly as the reports from the LIC Task Groups on New Library become available and guidelines for New Opportunities Fund grants are published. It is vital that we are all as prepared as possible to hit the ground running when the moment arrives. The first of these events, New Content - New thinking, is intended for those who are actively involved in day-to-day service planning and delivery. It will be held on Monday 19th October at Westminster City Archives, St Ann's Street, SW1 It will offer an opportunity to discuss the new ways of thinking and collaborative working necessary to develop electronic content and services which will meet users needs and expectations. A fee of £40.00 for EARL Partners and £60.00 for non-partners will be charged. If you would like to attend this workshop, please contact HELEN BAIGENT, EARL Liaison Officer, on [log in to unmask], or telephone 0171-702-2020 by Monday 12th October.
