Our Electronic Information Services team is responsible for delivering library automation around the world. The team is now working on an on-line gateway to manage web and other electronic resources combined with the development of a virtual library interface. It is into this exciting and innovative environment that we wish to recruit an enthusiastic information specialist to assist with these and other electronic library projects for the British Council's global network of information centres. In addition to extending our product range you will provide suipport and undertake research into the new LIS IT and electronic services. This is a unique opportunity for an analytical and innovative individual to make a real contribution to a global information service. You should therefore have an excellent understanding of the Internet, good IT and presentation skills and knowledge of HTML, the elib programme and current electronic library research. An effective and co-operative teamworker, you will ideally have some design and JavaScript authoring experience.
