You are invited to attend a JISC supported seminar to discuss electronic business information for HE to be held on 20th May. Full details are below: Electronic Business Information for Higher Education: Creating an Agenda for Action A seminar identifying electronic business information products and developing policies for their provision to the Higher Education Sector. Wednesday 20 May 1998, 9:00am (Registration) for 9:30am till 1:00 p.m, followed by lunch. Location: The Policy Studies Institute, 100 Park Village East, London, NW1. There is great scope for expanding the use of electronic information in Higher Education. How can information be delivered to suit course and research needs? This seminar: * Reviews the information available * Establishes business information needs for research and taught courses * Examines access issues * Sets priorities for the next three years * Creates an agenda for action. Speakers include: Jonathan Eaton, London Business School Allan Foster, University of Keele Sheila Webber, University of Strathclyde. This seminar will be of interest to people who make spending decisions on business information acquisition and those concerned with integrating the use of electronic business information into teaching and research; business librarians; business academic end-users. JISC funds national services for the UK higher education and research communities. JISC is working on the creation and continuing development of the network infrastructure and of content on it.
